Regional Equine Therapy Hub

09 September 2024

We are delighted to announce that the Stewarts Care Regional Equine Therapy Hub, located in Kilcloon, Co. Meath, is now open for applications and bookings.

Offering a world class equine-assisted therapeutic service, the hub supports children and adults with autism, intellectual and physical disabilities, across Meath, Dublin, and Kildare. The therapy sessions are uniquely designed to each participant to foster personal growth, improve physical strength, and enhance confidence through the power of interaction with horses.

Equine therapy provides a one-of-a-kind therapeutic experience by using the special connection between horses and participants to achieve a wide range of physical, emotional, and psychosocial goals. Whether in mounted sessions, yard-based activities, or a combination of both, the therapy targets core areas such as motor skills, communication, emotional regulation, and daily living activities. Each session is tailored to the specific needs of the individual, with the aim of empowering participants to reach new levels of personal achievement.

Referrals are welcome from a range of sources, including CDNTs, schools, GPs, or directly from parents and guardians.
